Julian is a Glasgow-based filmmaker. He has created and collaborated on numerous shorts, adverts, music videos and documentaries, and in 2015 finished a student narrative feature High Noon at Cubist Cafe which he wrote, directed, produced and edited. The following year he began work on his second student-feature Dance Music, an improvisational devised film inspired by John Cassavetes and Mike Leigh. His film and video installation Crazy Horse West explores the experimental approach towards this new project.

Julian is from Edinburgh and has been making films from a young age. As a teenager he learned filmmaking craft from SKAMM (Scottish Kids Are Making Movies) and continued making films while studying English and Film Studies (MA) at the University of Dundee and Art, Society & Publics (MFA) at

Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design.

He is primarily a director and freelance Editor.

He is currently editing Dance Music.
