The Doorway Gallery
A series of documentary-style shorts and a promotional video Joseph directed, shot and edited for the Doorway Gallery in Dublin. The first three videos are artist profiles, each exploring the work and approach of a particular artist represented by the gallery. The final video showcases the gallery itself.
Róisín paints bright, vibrantly colorful paintings in textured, buttery oils with a contemporary finish. Her work is influenced by a sense of home, and feature warm, light filled period interiors, tumbled families of rain boots, and quirky china teacups.
Geraldine O'Reilly Hynes
The inspiration for Geraldine O’ Reilly’s Hynes work comes through the simple act of going for walks with friends in woodlands, both near and far from her Dublin home. Her keen observations are sometimes of the more incidental things one comes across while walking.
She wishes the viewer to experience the intimacy of “being there” and conveys this through an accomplished facility in the use of real detail in her work.
Heidi Wickham moved to Sligo 15 years ago. She first worked in the Model Niland Gallery and through that quickly got into the Sligo art scene with the Sligo Arts Festival and similar projects. She wrote a number of educational plays for teenagers which were performed through ‘Sones’ a government FAS scheme in Sligo and she traveled to Florida with The Yeats Theatre Company as set designer and costumer. She has been working in charcoal for about 4 years and last year built a studio at her home.
The Doorway Gallery
"The Doorway Gallery exhibits fine art paintings and other art works from a selection of both Irish born and Irish resident artists, each recognised for their unique talent and contribution to art in Ireland.
A goal of The Doorway Gallery is to support artists in achieving international recognition for their work. This is achieved through a presence at a number of international art fairs each year at which a selection of art works is promoted."
